LG Optimus Pad Well Crafted Honeycomb backed Tablet Marvel!

The whole technology world is witnessing a virtual barrage of mobile computer tablet devices from practically all contenders in the field. Starting with Apple, then Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola, HTC and others everyone is keen on joining the bandwagon and releasing at least one tablet device of their own and make hay when the sun shines.

Not to be outdone is LG, the South Korean mobile phone maker who has also got its LG Optimus Pad ready for launch pretty soon. The LG Optimus Pad was unveiled officially in February, 2011 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), held in Barcelona.Following in the footsteps of the Motorola tablet, LG has also opted for the Android Honeycomb operating software to keep things ticking in the Optimus Pad. The South Korean mobile phone maker has boldly gone in for a more compact sized touchscreen and also given the tablet device some splendid hardware that seems to be equipped to stand the test of competition as well as time.

The LG Optimus Pad is expected to emerge and start selling commercially very soon. It was expected in July, 2011 but for some reason this could not happen. Though there are increasing signs that it will hit the stores very soon.

As mentioned above, the LG Optimus Pad runs on the Android 3.0 Honeycomb and comes with the powerful Nvidia Tegra dual core processor. The touchscreen is 8.9 inches wide and is S-LCD with 1,280 x 768-pixel display. You also find it comfortable to hold as it is only 630 gms and

The Optimus Pad is a very thoughtfully crafted and engineering piece of tablet marvel with its rounded edges, and the silver line running on one side and the thickness coming to only a very comfy 13 mm thick. The Google logo is very much there for all to see and conveys the confidence that comes with the Android platform backing it.

The twin five mega pixel cameras come with 3D capability. You can also transfer all your content to a compatible device with the HDMI port provided. The 3G and Wi-Fi are excellent as they are supported by Android Honeycomb and the user interface.
