The LG Optimus Pad was unveiled officially in February, 2011 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), held in Barcelona.Following in the footsteps of the Motorola tablet, LG has also opted for the Android Honeycomb operating software to keep things ticking in the Optimus Pad. The South Korean mobile phone maker has boldly gone in for a more compact sized touchscreen and also given the tablet device some splendid hardware that seems to be equipped to stand the test of competition as well as time.

The LG Optimus Pad is expected to emerge and start selling commercially very soon. It was expected in July, 2011 but for some reason this could not happen. Though there are increasing signs that it will hit the stores very soon.

Blackberry Bold 9900 Catering to Heightened Security Concerns!

It is now now certain that the Blackberry Bold 9990 will surface in the UK mobile phone market place only in late summer. This means a August or a September release. We do have some retailers like Play.com  and others and couple of network service providers come forth with some release dates, etc.

Everyone realises that for RIM (Research in Motion) a lot hinges on the acceptance or otherwise of this latest Bold offspring from their stable. Whether the Blackberry Bold 9900 would be able to stand up to the expectations of the potential user is somehting that only time will tell.

But it does seem that it is going be a highly evolved Blackberry Bold than any revolutionary trend setter kind of a smartphone. RIM, it does seem, has taken a calculated risk by not giving the Blackberry Bold 9900 the fancied QNX operating platform but instead has gone ahead and equipped it with the latest Blackberry OS verison 7.0.

We are calling it a risk as it is much considered business decision by RIM to stick to its time tested clientele comprising of the business persons and company executives. Ther Blackberry Bold 9900 will come with the new Blackberry Balance Security services. The Blackberry Balance will essentially be taking to the next level the existing BlackBerry Enterprise Server related infrastructure comprising of hardware like servers, etc and the supporting software all of which go in not just ensuring the confidentiality of business documents but also in delivering E-mails efficiently. This, in essence, has been all Blackberry smartphones success secret.

And we also do not see any harm in this approach. After all, everyone cannot be expected to cater to the mass consumerist kind of requirments that every one seems to so stuck on.

And it is not as if Blackberry Bold 9900 has missed out on other basic smartphone needs. You do have the powerful 1.2 GHz processor with its 768 MB of RAM. You also have the hybrid QWERTY as well as the capacitive touchscreen with its 960 x 680 pixels resolution.
